Prof. Jacob A. Frenkel

Chairman of the Advisory Board

Prof. Frenkel is the Chairman of JPMorgan Chase International and the Group of Thirty (G30) and plays leadership roles in a number of other leading international organizations. He served for two terms as the Governor of the Bank of Israel where he is credited with reducing inflation, liberalizing Israel’s financial markets, removing foreign exchange controls, and integrating the Israeli economy into the global financial system.

Previously, Prof. Frenkel was a Vice Chairman of AIG, Chairman of Merrill Lynch International, Inc, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), and Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Prof. Frenkel was the David Rockefeller Professor of International Economics at the University of Chicago, where he earned his Ph.D. in Economics. He was also the Economic Counselor and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
