Layla Chertow
Vice President & General CounselLeveraging 20 years of experience in international transactions, M&As, IPOs and business activities in Israel, Ms. Chertow is an authority on the viability, risks and practical implications of investment opportunities. Having worked in a large international company, she brings an essential perspective to the fund’s strategic decisions. As the fund’s general counsel, Ms. Chertow is responsible for all legal aspects of Shamrock Israel Growth Fund and the portfolio companies ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risks.
In the 18 years prior to joining Shamrock, Ms. Chertow held various positions in the Tadiran Group. She has served as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Tadiran Communications, where she was responsible for the corporate legal affairs and day-to-day legal operations of the company.
In collaboration with Shamrock, Ms. Chertow participated in the management buyout of Tadiran Communications. She was involved in the company’s IPO on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and remained in charge of the legal conduct and regulatory compliance of the publicly-traded company.
Ms. Chertow graduated from Tel Aviv University Law School and is a member of the Israel Bar Association.
